Synthetic Fabric Filters, Overmolding, and Assemblies with Plastic Fittings

Anrod offers a variety of products utilizing synthetic fabric materials, insert injection molding, and assemblies with plastic components.

Methods of construction include:

  • Over-molding: We overmold metal or synthetic mesh screen inserts with most injection moldable thermoplastics to add strength, encapsulate the screen edges, and provide a precision fit with your mating components.
  • Stamping: We offer die cut products from synthetic fabrics as well as wire cloth and perforated metal materials.
  • Fuse Slitting: In some applications we use fuse slitting to fabricate synthetic fabric inserts prior to overmolding.
  • Heat Sealing: With an induction heating process we can heat seal metallic screens to thermoplastic fittings.
  • Ultrasonic Welding: We use ultrasonic welding to join seam overlaps and end closures on synthetic fabric screens, and to weld joints on plastic housings.
